ARTICLE ON CHILDHOOD RISKS

Thyroid impact studies edited.

Most people accept escalating rates of childhood illness as normal and to be expected these days. But it is more important than ever to be careful about what you feed your child, from day one. Babies are already born at considerable risk due to the toxic load of their mothers. One of the many contributors to toxic overload is from exposure to plastics and the contaminants present therein, such as BPA (Bisphenol A). And now there’s evidence these toxins are being spread to babies even BEFORE they’re born. If you dont rate the danger check the research and you will find BPA in the urine of 95% of people tested in any situation. so how bad is that? After all it is only one of the 287 toxins found in tests by EWG in 2009 in the umbilical cord blood of American infants. Most western nations follow suit. If your baby is exposed to numerous toxic compounds While in the womb, it lengthens the total period of exposure to carcinogens for every period, thereby making your child more susceptible to cancer and other diseases later in life. This highlights the importance of minimizing your child’s risk for exposure to toxic compounds in the foods you feed them. Yet many well- intenioned mothers unknowingly add to their baby’s toxic load by feeding them contaminated, chemical-laden infant formulas in their first several months of life, then hit their tender little immune systems with cereal, which is the LAST thing they should be eating because it’s mostly grain, which turns into sugar. Now, baby food manufacturers are compounding the problem by suggesting that busy moms feed their toddlers highly processed food sold in convenient plastic tubs. Then it is designed to be microwaved further destroying and denaturing its nutritional value and promoting leaching of toxic chemicals right out of the plastic and into your baby’s meal. The children are further disabled by bombarding them with 29 chemical vaccines by the age of two each with dozens of possible side effects then letting them spend their days idly sitting in front of televisions and computers to accumulate radiation it’s no wonder we have the unhealthiest children in generations. Western children, as a whole, are showing this damage in the form of lowered IQ’s, mood and behavioral problems, blossoming obesity rates, and multiple forms of chronic disease that are occurring at earlier ages. Obviously we are not fans of cooking at all and I always avoid microwaved food in fact I do not like even being in the same room as one. The food vibrates at very high frequencies, changing your food’s chemical structure, structurally deforming its molecules and potentially making nutrients unrecognizable in a lab and unusable by your body. When you put “microwave safe” plastic into your microwave oven, you’re not going to see it bubble or melt, or see sparks fly or smell toxic fumes. You won’t see or taste plastic particles in your food. As the microwave heats the plastic, the chemical bonds break silently and invisibly. If your plastic is scratched or worn, the degradation is worse. BPA is one of the worst in leaking from all plastics tested. Leaching has been found to occur at room temperature and be rapidly accelerated by boiling water, dishwasher processes and microwaveing. Research clearly shows increased risk of heart disease, Diabetes, brain damage, liver disease, impaired learning, aggressiveness, obesity, reduced immune function, early stimulation of female function in young girls. Stimulation of prostate and other cancer cells and ovarian problems amongst others. Of 115 published animal studies, 81 percent found significant effects from even low-level exposure to BPA. This endocrine disrupter first caught researchers’ attention after normal mice began to display uncommon genetic abnormalities. The defects were linked to plastic cages and water bottles that had been cleaned with a harsh detergent, causing BPA to leach out of the plastic. This is early life exposure to BPA and there is no established safe level as the toxin is addede to the total accumulation of toxins. The safe and effective method of detoxing is a total vegan raw food diet and nobody does that. Effects on laboratory animals have been extensive and you should explore the internet yourself to find the tests and dates and results. So, a one-month-old baby on formula could be getting 450 parts per trillion BPA per day, which is18 times the level shown in scientific studies to cause cellular damage.

Thyroid has been a popular topic so a recent event stirred me up a little. On a holiday in Thailand I met three beautiful girls 30 year old from France, Italy and Germany over two days. They all had Hashimotos and in each case doctors had requested permission to remove the gland. My understanding is that such action makes a woman daily dependent on pills and much more likely to contract other serious diseases. I am aware that it can be reversed using natural methods but the three girls were totally deprived of any choices by their specialist doctors.

At one stage I worked for the Environment Agency in England and came across research indicating clusters of thyroid problems downwind from certain chemical tips in parts of Europe. I also have big questions over the increase in thyroid problems following Chernobyl, not to mention current leakages in nuclear plants, including those of Japan and France.
Thyroid problems are reversible but, like diabetes 2, current medical orthodoxy is that that is impossible.
And yes, my thyroid is now virtually destroyed and I am on pills for life ever since Chernobyl.

I’ve been reading recently about research into metabolic collapse caused by people restricting calories, often because they think they just need to lose some weight or that it’s healthy to do this. Low calories leading to lowered temperature and metabolic rate and a compromised thyroid seem to be a silent scourge. There should be more status given to this problem. Many otherwise healthy people are unknowingly damaging their metabolism and their overall health.

I am at present in remission from over active thyroid. I was told I would need my thyroid removed or killed by my specialist and at the time, my levels were returning to normal. When I refused I was made to feel I was being ridiculous because they believe it will return to an over active state at some point. I am a complimentary therapist and have used several therapies plus supplements and reiki to get my levels back to normal. However, they don’t want to know. We have to be proactive with regard to our health and treatments.

I too had an over active thyroid and am now in remission. I had a somewhat open endocrinologist! When I told him I wanted to use complimentary therapy, he said lets give it a year as long as I would have blood work every 2 months. He was surprised at the results, however, not truly interested in how I achieved my amazing results. Yes, I agree we need to be proactive with regard to our health and treatments. For many in the medical field to truly look at complimentary therapy and suggest them negates what they have spent years learning (being brainwashed) in medical school. Big pharma starts early in their education. For many the paradigm shift is too much, but I do believe it is coming.

Great to hear that Valerie. Do you mind me asking what you used? I am always trying to research new methods of treatment and would love to hear your story. Many thanks. x

Mine is underactive, and after a lot of thought I decided I had to take thyroxine, but have been making many other changes too, and it seems it may be starting to improve. What we eat is very very important obviously, and so are many other things we do. Yes, we should all be proactive in our health and not just let our doctors lead us along too much. Yes there is a place for medicine, but they don’t know everything, of course, and it is up to us to find and use what we need most. Let’s please all share our info that could be helpful to each other. I wrote this article on my journey so far with Hypothyroidism http://radiancesolutions.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/hypothyroidism-my-journey/
and also this piece about epigenetics (which I am currently studying) and which shares info about how we can actually influence our genes – literally switch bad ones off and good ones on etc http://www.radiance-solutions.co.uk/epigenetics.htm
    Best to all x

What a super blog, Jay. I thought I had gone into matters but you’ve certainly got further than me. i’ve now been taking a low dose of thyroxine for nearly twenty years. If I stop taking it my thyroid doesn’t kick back in unfortunately, however following an op for cancer ,now cleared, I asked my doctor if I could see an endocrinologist for a more thorough check up but couldn’t get beyond the ‘Your levels are OK’ type conversation. so back to self-help.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT

Brenda could do much better using the kick back starters neck massage, reflexology and reiki to the neck. All can be applied at the same treatment or within a short period of each other. When you have this treatment you can presume it will work and plan for two follow up treatments two weeks apart.

It is good to hear from you all and so without going into to much detail the alternative information trail suggests the connection from thyroid to autoimmune and gluten intolerance. So gluten in all foods should be eliminated and from there careful eating, avoiding sugar and most fats except the good ones which could be treated as a supplement along with iodine. Most of you are students of natural so will be aware of the details. This alone will bring about a change and then the secret is to use a combination of chiropractic or remedial massage on the neck with some reflexology and reiki, all targeting the neck area. The combination treatments can be done at monthly intervals. More detail on thyroidbook.net. I would love to see you all kick the thyroid thing completely.

This is a very good topic. The causes are that women do not allow them self to speak.
The women often listen first the needs of their environment (Men, children, Familly) than their own needs. It is mainly transgenerationnal schemas, an heritage from women to women in the generation.
Iam doing coaching for women helping them to open their voice in order to revele their unique force. I recommend singing, painting, all the expression of their selves. I using also lots of sounds frequences like the drums, or cristals bols during my consultation. I have very good results. So I believe when the wrong believes are transformated with reality and not illusion, when women can really stop limited theirselves, then in lots of case I have a total remission of Thyroid.

This is possible in beliving in its own healing. I am sharing this as I am sure, alternative medicine can help a lot.

Thyroid is an auto-immune problem closely allied to diabetes 2 and arthritis. One tends to lead to another. John, do not forget the Healing Trust (National Federation of Spiritual Healers) who will give six weeks of free distant healing to those who ask.
As someone who has found her voice, and how, I am amazed at the intensity of the responses of people wanting to put me back in my little box. I suppose I shouldn’t be. I think you’re right when you say it is transgenerational and I guess many of us have the slave archetype or Cinderella’s ‘when does it get to be my turn to go to the ball?’ syndrome.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT

That free reiki sounds great. I know it has been part of every hypothyroid reversal I have worked on.

Accept? No, acknowledge and face the existence, yes, then use that energy to go beyond.

I guess I should clarify that we have many archetypes and complexes, not just one or two. Whilst I accept the principles of the mind/ body connection it would be too cruel to blame someone for having a particular illness for creating it. Louise Hay is very useful with her positive affirmations for parts of the body.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT

Louise Hays work is very empowering and especially for women. But do yourself a favor and allow the reflexologist and masseur a shot at the problem at the same time.

I think, Evelyne, you are right ! We as woman always have to shut our mouth, and out of this our Thyroid works in a wrong way. I had the experience, I was hard attacked by people, from the ministry of economic, because I dared to speak, that evening I couldn’t almost eat any more, it was as if my throat was squeezed. Little by little I became heavier, I always thought is was because of my age. Than I saw on television someone saying that some people become heavier because of a bad working of the Thyroid. So I went to a doctor and, indeed, so it is. Since that time I started to talk more and more, and now, my Thyroid start working better, but I still take some low working pills. I hope my thyroid will restore completely. For a woman to speak, it is not easy, we have man against us, and no woman with us, woman follow man. Sometimes it’s very hard to “speak” and the most dangerous are man homosexuals, because, they, in fact, in the deepest of their being, they are woman haters.

ADDITIONAL COMMENT

Hilde I am man and I agree but your comment shows you in a negative moment. Thyroid does affect weight dramatically in many cases. The only woman I ever met who defended the use of Cynthroid was four times the siZe of my girlfriend. Maybe too late for that one. But thyroid condition affecting your weight will also affect your brain function and the associated female hormonal balance. This will help you to react to the male aggression. Just feel sorry for us as we know not what we do!!

Getting back to the physical level – post Chernobyl and post various other accidents. At the time of Chernobyl we were advised by the news in England that sheep on the Welsh hills had been contaminated and would not be edible for some while. You don’t need a masters’ degree in Georaphy to work out that major cities like Birmingham, where I lived at the time, were in direct line between the two. All of a sudden I and my friends had thyroid problems. If the government had acted fast enough we could have been given pre-emptive medication but no, absolutely nothing was said, probably for fear it might cause panic in the population. The nature of women’s bodies, with more fat than those of men, leaves them more liable to absorb toxic loads. At the Environment Agency human corpses were considered to be ‘Special Wastes’ i.e. very toxic waste because of the load of cadmium, DDT etc in all of us. And no research has been done on the breakdown of minute quantities of toxic waste in combination with other toxic products. The British levels of safety are still geared round factory working levels.

Some wonderful information has come from this discussion. Is there any detailed comment to come on the actual long term implications of thyroid removal in women as I have found that a little hard to research from trusted sources?
